Gillian MacLaren Jacobs

Gillian MacLaren Jacobs, born on 19 October 1982 was an American actor from the United States. She is most well-known for her performances as Britta Perry in the NBC comedy series Community (2009-2015), Mickey Dobbs on the Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016-2018) as well as Atom Eve on the Amazon animated series Invincible (2021). Mimi Rose Howard played a regular role in the fourth season of the HBO comedy series Girls (2012 to 2017). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was conceived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1982. Martina Magenau Jacobs her mother is a member of the alumni relations department at Carnegie Mellon University. William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investor banker. Her father passed away in 2013. She was raised by her mother in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family was the owners of the Erie Brewing Company (not to be confused with the later brewery of the identical name) and her father, John Martin Magenau Jr. was CEO and president until the brewery closed in 1978.Jacobs started studying acting at the age of 4 and also attended acting classes on weekends at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up. She was a part of the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she was a frequent participant in the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest, leading her to be cast as Titania in its production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
