Patricia Velásquez
Creativity isn't limited to the canvas,
photographs, film and media. It could also serve as an opportunity for
philanthropy and charity as well as for activism. Patricia Velasquez is an
award-winning supermodel and actress with a long history. Also, she is a
committed patron of charity. Author activist, activist, author, and loving
mother. She is a natural and develops her own path and is making huge strides.
She says, "I see my career as a ladder." "I have been through
every step. It was amazing to be able to do so, as there's been endurance. I
just put my head down, moving one step at a time, and did not stop." This
metaphor is a close resemblance to a formative moment. After a couple of years
she relocated to Venezuela. She was born in Venezuela and grew up in France and
Mexico. In South America, her parents worked in education and moved their
family into an overcrowded apartment building with no water or elevators that
worked. Patricia took 15 steps up using heavy buckets to supply water to the
building. She tried to assist her family as much as possible, despite studying
engineering and a rigorous dance program. Being scouted for modeling in Milan,
the multi talented artist's ascent to the top of fashion rested on a promise to
those she loved. She recalls, "When they asked me to go to Italy, I
said"If I can pay thirty dollars per month back to Venezuela and it's
worth it as it will provide the entire building's water'." Patricia's
achievements marked an important turning point in fashion when she first brought
the attention of the fashion industry to South America. After being "the
first Karl Lagerfeld model ever photographed" She went on to be featured
in editorial spreads and advertisements for the front of Chanel and Dolce
& Gabbana. Her fame spread across the globe. she was featured on Oprah
as well as Ford Models' "Supermodel of the World" contest , as well.
